How Much Weight Can You Lose Being a Package Handler? This is absolute grunt work at its finest. I am stumped every bit to how many calories I am burning per shift. I sort, but as well finish upward on the heaviest truck loading on some nights. Anyone else doing this take an estimate of how many calories they are burning? I am trying to figure this out so I can adjust because I haven't touched the gym in six months, I come up domicile from piece of work and eat like a disgusting grunter and am withal losing weight.. not fat anymore, there is none left. Muscle weight. I would similar to PROPERLY compensate and head back to the gym. In general, I am there for five-vi hours a nighttime lately. If I sort, the piece of work load is much easier. If I load, I am on a heavy truck only and am touching 275 or so packages an hr, loading them into trucks. The shit office is since the truck is a heavy load, everything is between 50-70 lbs of those 275/hr, as opposed to lower weight packages. Anyone else doing this grunt work have a effigy? Don't know what the caloric expenditure is but I feel your pain. I used to work total time loading/unloading containers. Fucked up thing is there are days where I actually miss it. At least a thousand. Go on your protein intake high to offset the demands of the chore i used to work in a warehouse years ago.. Surprisingly keeps you lot in decent shape.. nevertheless somehow fatty people who work there manage to stay fatty lol. Prob out of laziness Yeah I had a few guys on my rotation who were pretty fucking fat. WHen I started at that place I couldn't quite figure it out. Merely later a while I noticed how strategically lazy they were. I would say 1,000 calories/60 minutes isn't too high an estimate, if you're unloading one box every 3 seconds (like we had to when I was there). Not sure how clean you're trying to eat, just yous could grab a honey bun or something while at piece of work. Same here. I worked for a moving visitor for a few years. Carrying boxes and piece of furniture for 10-16 60 minutes days 5 days a week gave me an absolutely insane ambition. No idea how many calories I burned but it was probably super high since information technology was lots of running upward and down stairs with boxes/furniture all 24-hour interval. I drove for coca cola and take downstacked and delivered anywhere betwixt 700-1000 cases of soda a day. 10 hour route plus 115 degree AZ heat I'd say I burned probably 2000 cal a day. I've as well worked for DHL as a driver and that was a breeze compared to coke. All-time in shape guys around for labor piece of work are the beverage drivers from coke and bud. They get the most business per capita and have insanely heavy routes.
